Often Asked Questions

1. How long does a treatment last?

Answer: Some tattoos, particularly recent ones may go completely with a short series of treatments, more likely clumps of pigment many remain and these will have to be subjected to a repeat treatment.

2. Why are certain colours difficult to deal with?

Answer: Laser light works by being attracted to the particular colour it is attacking, with some complex colours there is no matching wavelength then the ink particles cannot be attacked.

3. Are there limits to the success of both methods?

Answer: The EU wants to make regulations about what is mixed in tattooing inks. As no one knows, it is difficult to match the removal technique exactly to achieve the desired reaction. It is worth saying that world wide over 2 million tattoos have been removed using laser light alone so removing tattoos is becoming wide spread and successful.
